Abstract :
The sessions reflected the wide varieties of the papers´ topic areas, such as fuzzy pattern recognition, image processing/vision, control, decision/optimization, fuzzy databases and data mining, as well as the sister areas of soft computing: evolutionary computing and neural networks. The conference also attracted several contributions related to the current and challenging topics of the semantic Web, network security, Web mining, and information retrieval.
