Abstract :
The work presents a web-based control solution which can be effectively used with the electro-energy systems. The work gives a brief overview of the already known solutions in energy management systems and it proposes a new type of solution. The proposed solution enables remote management and monitoring of energy systems. The user interface of the remote management uses a web-based technology. One server side application provides the connection between the Web and the PLCs. In the proposed architecture the inputs and outputs of the PLCs are connected to the managed devices. The system allows for alternative realization of the control as well. Furthermore, it is important that it is possible to state a feedback of devices, even if it is not altered by the present management system. During the development of the system the aspect such as convenience has been taken into consideration, but a great emphasis was put on energy savings as well. Based on the experience the knowledge base has been set up. During the monitoring of the system, an expert module minimizes the total energy consumption, so that the system´s functionality remains.
