Abstract :
The interconnection between Scotland and England, whilst providing an AC electrical connection between the ScottishPower and National Grid Company high-voltage transmission systems, is also the vehicle for transfers between the England and Wales Pool and its three External Pool Members (EPMs) in Scotland. ScottishPower, acting as the Externally Interconnected Party (EIP), has special responsibilities to control and co-ordinate the various interchanges. Operational experience is summarised
