Abstract :
Health facilities in many countries are still burdened with serious problems, including non-functioning medical equipment as a result of factors such as inadequate planning, inappropriate procurement, poorly organized and managed healthcare technical services, and a shortage of skilled personnel. Fresh-graduated biomedical engineers have usually no practical knowledge about planning skills and the cross correlation with budgeting, since no courses embedded in curriculum dealing with the topic (at least in Lebanese Universities). This article represents an educational framework for basic planning knowledge that biomedical engineers should acquire and our future works will focus on the equipment specifications and budgeting skills.
