  • Abstract
RF wireless interconnection among integrated layers and/or chips has been taken up with one of emerging technologies for future integrated system to break down global interconnect delay due to metallic wires. Although a single-input-single-output type of wireless interconnect has been reported, other functionalities with multi-input and/or multi-output have not been investigated so far. In this paper we propose and analyze a possibility to realize functional RF interconnects by employing a double-stub and a split-ring structure integrated with microstrip transmission line (MSL) with variable leaky wave radiations for the first time on the basis of S-shaped frequency dispersion design including left-handed wave propagation in frequency ranges of tens GHz.
