Abstract
In this paper, a hybrid method is proposed for the simulation of rotating electrical machines taking into account the end winding effect. The method is based on the slip surface that is decomposed in two parts. In the air gap we use the second or third order interpolation method and in the area of the end winding the interpolation (first order) surface method. As example of application a turbo-generator is studied
