  • Abstract
This paper presents a code synchronization scheme, the time-window control loop (TWCL), for post-detection RAKE receiver systems using differential phase shift keying (DPSK), which achieves the path-diversity effect with simple device structures. The performance, holding time and acquisition time, under single-path and double-path Rayleigh-fading, always a problem in personal radios, are investigated by computer simulation. It is found that its performance under double-path Rayleigh-fading is superior to that under single-path Rayleigh-fading because of the path-diversity effect
