Abstract :
This paper presents experimental study on a concaved suspended plate antenna with low cross-polarization radiating levels for broadband applications. The antenna is fabricated to form a structure with a concave at the center section of the raised radiating plate. Experimental measurements show that the antenna achieves large impedance bandwidths up to 55% for VSWR < 2:1. Through the dual probe-fed technique, the high cross-polarization radiation levels of the antenna are suppressed with a reduction in the peak level of nearly 10 dB
