Application of WPF to MIS development

Applying new technology is a good way to solve the problems existed in MIS development. The advantages of WPF have not been realized by MIS developers completely. This paper analyses the technical superiorities of WPF compared with traditional technologies, and exemplifies what WPF can do in MIS development. With WPF´s support for DirectX, developers can make better use of current graphics hardware, and design amazing UI of MIS easily. WPF helps remove the barriers and bottlenecks that have traditionally existed between MIS UI designers and programmers, and promote scientific division in MIS development process. Reusing UI resources help developers work more efficiently. WPF provides many globalized design features to present MIS in multiple languages economically. Because of new technical features mentioned above, it is a good choice for MIS developers to learn WPF as soon as possible.
