Significance of creative industry clusters on development of industrial design in Wuhan

Industrial clusters have become a very important mode of industrial development nowadays and clusters are of great significance in enhancing competitiveness and innovation capability. In Wuhan such a leading city of “Rise of Central China” Program, development of creative industry is still weak and industrial design is also in the early stage. This paper compared and analyzed the present situation of creative industry clusters and development of industrial design in Wuhan, and then summed up the significance of creative industry clusters on development of industrial design. The paper also put forward the idea of promoting the development of industrial design through industrial clusters in furniture, household goods, small commodities, etc.
