Abstract :
Variety of the manufacturers and "know-how" of cable production in a world, and also huge spectrum of consumers of communication cables boost international and national value of their standardization. In the report the principles of a standardization of optical communication cables (OCC) are considered, their classification according to the international standards, the last versions available international standards touching OCC are featured.
