Abstract :
In this paper, spatial-resolved spectra of the electrical explosion of aluminum wire in argon gas were obtained through a imaging spectrometer. The distributions and compositions of the discharge plasmas after the secondary breakdown under various argon pressures were demonstrated and discussed based on the captured spectra. The discharge plasma presented significant difference under pressures below and above 30 kPa.
