Abstract :
The article presents various techniques for resolver to digital signal conversion. The methods are briefly described and their disadvantages and advantages are stated. The simulations are performed to evaluate the presented methods. Their performance under transient and steady state is evaluated. Further analysis was done to evaluate the techniques under real world conditions when the resolver signals differ from their ideal waveforms. Noise, offset and gain imbalance were added. The best performing method is classical tracking technique, while the worst is the simplest under-sampling technique.
