Abstract
Recent works have shown that the fetal electrocardiogram (ECG) allows to detect cardiac pathologies or stress conditions of the fetus. The continuous registration of the fetal heart activity and the good waveform evaluation are the base for an accurate fetal monitoring. In this paper we propose a method based on wavelet decomposition and independent component analysis in order to approximate the real shape of the fetal ECG by the mother ECG processing only. Our method allows to evaluate the fetal ECG in a non-invasive way
