Abstract
This paper presents a comparative evaluation of the utility of four bend sensors for wearable applications. The performance of each sensor during slow and fast controlled cyclic bending was compared to simultaneous motion-capture data, and the results evaluated for correlation and response morphology. The physical characteristics of each sensor are discussed with attention to their viability for wearable applications.
