Abstract :
In todays and mainly future optical communication systems we necessarily need all-optical signal processing functions, such as optical switching, routing, demultiplexing, and regeneration. The key function almost in all these functions is wavelength conversion. In this paper we present comparison of three different types of wavelength conversion technology applied in optical cross-connect.
