Abstract :
If three duplicate acknowledgements are received, TCP Reno protocol would judge the occurrence of congestion somewhere between source and destination of network, and then TCP Reno congestion control algorithms would immediately respond with slowing down transmission rate, regardless of the fact whether the current link is in congestion state or not. Based on current RTT, this paper would do further analysis of the reason of packet loss. If it´s not in congestion state, the sender doesn´t need to lower transmission rate, so the network throughout is enhanced. Simulations indicate the improved algorithm is effective.
