Abstract :
The paper is about the identification method of event descriptive unit based on the rules of predicate identification and consolidation, in order to divide the whole sentence into event descriptive unit. The training set and testing set involved in the experiment are from TCT Corpus of news academic. Through the rules summarized from the event descriptive unit in 14248 sentences, 3751 sentences have been identified into event descriptive unit automatically. The experiment shows that by the method of rules handling, event descriptive unit can be identified effectively.
