Abstract :
In this paper, we study how to solve eddy currents induced in a thin metal plate by using line integral equations. If the plate thickness is too thin compared with its dimensions, the equations become ill conditioned. We derive line integral equations on the assumption that the electromagnetic fields in metal are attenuated rapidly compared with those along the metal surface. This method can be applied to analyze the eddy current even in case that the plate thickness is almost zero
