Abstract :
In this paper the element-free Galerkin method (EFGM) is employed for evaluating eddy current distribution in ferromagnetic media, subjected to an imposed domain deformation and to a time-varying magnetic flux. A step-by-step time procedure is used for handling the transient evolution. The extension to nonlinear and hysteretic media is realized adopting the fixed point scheme and the classical Preisach model
