Abstract :
This panel will discuss the itiiplicatiotis of the XML revolution for the field of database managenietit systems. Four distinguished panelists will share their views and predictions regarding the vnrious ways in which XML should - and perhaps also wajs in which it should not - be playing a role in the work being done by database system researchers arid developers.
