Abstract :
Factors affecting the shipping cost were not considered in conventional transportation problem. Using the calculation formula of two fuzzy numbers stemmed from the solution of fuzzy equation based on goal programming, the shipping cost of conventional transportation problem is considered and the tabular method for conventional transportation is developed to fuzzy environment in this paper. The optimal solution of fuzzy transportation problem is obtained successfully by using this tabular method. Compared with the result of conventional transportation problem, the result acquired by our method is more advantaged for decision makers.
