Abstract :
This paper presents a tool for the efficient storing and transferring of triangular FEM elements. Firstly, triangular mesh is decimated. The decimated mesh preserves all the important geometric and topological features of the original mesh. Both meshes, the original and the decimated, are lossless, compressed by special-purpose data compressing algorithm. The user can choose between the most suitable representations, according to the situation
