Abstract :
We devised and fabricated a simple polarization-switched QPSK modulator free from the 3-dB IQ-coupling loss. It consists of only three Mach-Zehnder BPSK modulators and a polarization-coupling circuit, and operated at 43 and 84 Gb/s.
