  • Abstract
    In this paper, expert system and ontology technology are studied. Framework model of ontology-based selection and matching expert system is built up by using the ontology language OWL. Ontology query and retrieval technology are introduced and achieved by using QueriesTab tool which is a plug-in of protégé. OWL ontology is stored in database by using MySQL language. At last, we did experiment in Protégé to test selection and matching result. The result shows that the Ontology-based expert system model can achieve the function of coal mining equipment selection and matching correctly.
