Abstract :
The design of high-speed direct digital frequency synthesizers (DDFSs) in silicon-on-insulator (SOI) CMOS technology for space applications is described. Two DDFSs were designed using different approaches. Simulations show operating frequencies of 2 GSps for both DDFSs with a DAC resolution of 12 bits.
