Abstract
An analytical method using the generalized theory of electrical machines is used to study the effect of harmonics on the watthour meter. A computer simulation was performed to investigate the effect of harmonics on the watthour meter. The results revealed that the speed of the disk of the watthour meter will decrease as the frequency is increased
