Abstract
In this paper a computationally-efficient model of a broadband microwave rectenna is presented. A rectenna includes a rectifying circuit and an antenna. In this work the combination of a 3D edge finite element method with a Pade rational approximation procedure allows a fast characterization of the antenna over the wide frequency band. Then an equivalent circuit of the whole device including distributed parts and lumped non-linear components is easily obtained. A global circuit time domain simulation of the rectenna with PSPICE is thus available.
