Abstract :
This paper develops a model for torque pulsations simulation in a permanent magnet synchronous generator, due to the rotor´s eccentricity. One pole of the machine is represented in finite element magnetic field analysis in order to define stator voltage time variations with the air-gap width. A circuit model is also developed in Matlab/Simulink environment enabling to account for rotor eccentricity of the generator in the complete wind turbine model. The proposed model accuracy has been validated by comparing the simulated results with measurements on a prototype. This model enables to define control strategies reducing torque pulsations
