Abstract :
Switched reluctance motor drive system becomes an attractive alternative in adjustable speed drive due to its simplicity in both motor construction and power converter, and vibration that resulting acoustic noise in switched reluctance motor have generated intense interest from the time it became commercially competitive with dc and ac drives. Focus on the magnetic noise vibration, dig the relationship between motor structure parameter and the magnetic force, in this paper, the principle of virtual work and the principle of virtual displacement are employed to analysis the magnetic force, by chosen a proper generalized coordinate variable of the magnetic energy function, the analytical expression of radial force and the tangential force are obtained. From the expressions, the key configuration parameter which influences the magnetic forces most is extracted. Then the parametric simulation analysis is carried out to investigate the motor drive system characteristics including the limiting case. Also, the motor drive system characteristics are simulated of different controlling modes including single phase excited mode, the double phase excited mode. The results form the basis of switched reluctance motor drive system design optimization.
