Abstract :
Flexible workflow is one of hot points in current workflow research. A kind of design model of flexible workflow management system has been given based on the standard WFMC reference Model and flexible requirement of workflow system in practice in this paper. The design thought of constructing workflow template through activity network diagram with organizations, activities, roles also has been introduced in detail, which has been successfully applied in practice in the end. The model has six features of ideal workflow model: 1) Formal requirements; 2) graphical features; 3) complete expression; 4) level feature; 5) convenience of the performance analysis and optimization; 6) flexibility. Therefore, it will be a typical flexible workflow management system which makes theory innovation and practical value to some certain extent.
