On December 28, 2007, China formally started accession negotiations on GPA, and the work is more urgent. To join the GPA, it not only means Chinese enterprises have entered the international government procurement markets, but also takes certain risks to the Chinese government and enterprises. This paper analyzes the current situation of China´s government procurement, explores the domestic risks and the risks of the enterprises in the foreign government procurement markets after joining GPA, and proposes countermeasures in the purpose of reducing or avoiding the adverse effects and impacts.
