  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. BAE Systems is developing integrated sensors for future commercial applications. This paper will present the detailed design of an electro-optical sensor, that incorporates an integrated UV focal plane using AlGaN 256×256 array, and two dimensional multi-color IR focal plane array covering various bands between 2-10 microns. The sensor concept takes advantages of various focal plane array technologies, integrated into a single sensor with a compact optical assembly. The key components of the sensor building block includes a recently developed AlGaN, 256×256 UV imager for broadband UV detection. The IR channels include large format 256×320 multicolor QWIP focal plane arrays developed and built by BAE Systems
