  • Abstract
The widespread use of e-readers provides a useful tool to students. This has brought us to explore the essential factors that affect student´s willing of using new technology in the higher educational classroom. To understand the relationship between reading habits and e-reader functions, we applied grounded theory to analyze data. Results suggest that users´ expectations and operation are affected by their previous experiences of using technology and their reading habits. Whether the actual features of the product satisfy the user´s expectation or not, there are five different reactions: rejection, complaint, satisfaction, surprise and useless. This study analyzes students´ reactions to different features of new technology and provides teachers and manufacturers references for applying new technology into learning environment.
