Abstract
BLEVE is a kind of disaster that may cause serious consequences in the process of maritime transportation of liquefied petroleum gas, liquefied natural gas. To analyze the accident characteristics of both the external environment and the internal causes is the basic to prevent, control and research this accident. This paper analyzes the BLEVE happening overall process under the interaction of the internal medium temperature and pressure changes and wall materials intensity changes under fire scene. The BLEVE accident characteristics and potential hazards differences between boiler and liquefied gas storage tank are compared. The mechanism of the BLEVE and the role of energy in the process of destruction are also discussed further.
