Abstract
A new multiple fibre Bragg grating (FBG) sensor system for high speed strain signal is proposed. The new system using the CDMA technology is able to separate out the signals of multiple FBG sensors. Linearity of the response for the applying strains was observed. The rapid response of the system for the dynamic strain to FBG sensors was also confirmed. Crosstalk levels between sensor channels appear low. If broadband light source is used and length of PRBS is sufficient, CDMA technology can make it possible to multiplex numerous sensors
