Abstract :
An algorithm for eyes fast location is presented in this paper based on adaptive edge extraction. First, Gauss filter is used to eliminate the noise, then the edge is extracted from the image capitalizing on the Robert operators, and then the binary image is got by the criterion of the proportion between edge pixel number and the total pixel count. Finally, the eyes can be easily located by calculating the complexity of the binary image.
