Abstract :
It is shown that a load resistance with distributed capacitance can be simulated with a resistance and a parallel capacitance. The values of the resistance and capacitance should be inversely proportional to the square root of frequency so that frequency responses fall off at 10 dB/decade and the phase shift is asymptotic to -45 degrees . The resistance can be simulated by a diode which is forward-biased with a current proportional to square root omega . The capacitance can be simulated by a diode which is reverse-biased with a voltage which is proportional to omega .<>
