Abstract :
Neural networks provide a method for quickly calculating solutions to problems that require iteration. Multiplication can be viewed as an iterative feedback process, much like other problems (such as pattern recognition) to which neural networks have been applied. Using the collective decision-making capabilities of a neural network in summing the partial product tree of multiplication is discussed. The resulting design, a simulation of performance, and comparison with other multiplication schemes are presented
