Abstract
In this paper we discuss a possible extension of the radial vector model RVM, that is used in a 3D extension of the classical scalar Preisach model CSPM. In particular we show that by using a suitable coordinate frame, one can overcome some limitations of the RVM. In particular, the RVM requires that the magnetization is directed radially outside a critical surface of a vector hysteron. The model continues to be consistent with the principle of conservation of magnetic energy for large rotating fields and with the second principle of the thermodynamics
