Abstract :
CAD and CAM were developed independently in the past. CAD was heavily influenced by Computer Graphics, whereas CAM by NC (Numerical Control) Integrating them turns out to be the challenge of the century. The integration of CAD and CAM in terms of CORBA is explored. Then Open I-DEAS is presented as a special case
