Abstract
In this contribution, the design of a novel two-element phased array for mitigation of interference effects in digital mobile communications is presented. This new antenna system is designed for applications at the handset level. To control the phased array, a new version of on-off algorithm is developed and implemented. The phase array adaptation is blind since no priori knowledge of spatial signatures is required. For experimental investigations, miniaturized microstrip antennas are used to develop a new experimental two-element phased array. Experimental measurements were carried out to examine the performance of the proposed system, and the obtained results show a good performance.
