  • Abstract
    In this presentation, the complex coupled mode method will be reviewed with the highlight of its unique and interesting features that are distinct from the conventional coupled mode theory. In particular, the applications of the complex mode theory in the treatment of radiation field effects are demonstrated through several typical optical waveguides structures.
