Abstract :
A digital divider is described which allows division by a factor 2 at an input frequency of 4,5 GHz and divides a factor 4 with an input frequency of 9 GHz. These results are obtained by using a thin film circuit of small dimensions, combined with beam lead components and chip bipolar transistors. The experiments indicate that the lumped element approach is now practically feasible up to 10 GHz. Some remarks about application of the circuit and future possibilities are given.
