Abstract
Besides numerous applications in industry and commerce the intelligent distributed systems technologies are ready to be deployed in fields of defense logistics applications, international coalitions operations, humanitarian relief operations and other OOTW (Operations Other Than War). For these very specific application domains the international research community provides different techniques for distributed decision making, knowledge based systems, collective planning, multi-agent systems and intelligent agent technologies, but also methods of knowledge sharing and interoperability provisioning.
