Abstract :
Together with the radial velocity shear features of Mesocyclone in doppler radar data and the experiences of experts, and in the case of having monitored the Mesocyclone, this paper proposed a rapid Mesocyclone positioning algorithm based on the features of velocity shear and matching method. This algorithm can rapidly and accurately locate the Mesocyclone during the continued radar data observation. Experimental results demonstrate that methods used in this paper are effective.
