In this paper, the matrix converters are applied to the Direct Torque Control system of induction motor, the Direct Torque Control method of induction motor is proposed on the base of matrix converters, Some numerical simulations are carried out on the Direct Torque Control system of induction motor fed by Matrix converter. The results showed that the system has good steady state, dynamic performance, the matrix converter provides bidirectional power flow and unit power factor.
