Abstract :
A novel highly birefringent PCF with hybrid cladding is proposed. The birefringence is theoretically investigated with variant structural parameters and refractive index of filled material. The results show that the proposed PCF can provide high birefringence and be well tuned. It can be used as polarization controllers or sensors.
