Abstract :
The investigation of the microwave field influence on substance has reached such a level when it is possible to make an attempt of the definite generalisation of some questions on the basis of particular results.Among these questions are the defrostation of biological objects and the technological treatment of chemical substances connected with their heating. The increase of efficiency of such processes calls for creation of the maximum homogenous electromagnetic field in the applicator. The task considerably complicates if the treated objects themselves have electric and thermal properties which are unequal in volume and changing in the process of treatment. The general analyses is illustrated by the examples of the solution of appearing difficulties through the utilisation of heat conductivity phenomenon, combined effect of the microwave field and presaure, and also by the processes where unhomogeneity of substance properties acts as a positive factor.
