Abstract
This paper examines the stability of the peak current-mode controlled buck converter in the z-domain. For this, modified z-transforms were used which allowed the accurate model of the delay in the control loop. It is shown that the presence of subharmonic oscillations can be predicted and that the amount of compensating ramp needed for their elimination can be determined.
